Add an M3U playlist

Add an M3U or M3U8 playlist from a link or a file.

Last updated October 9, 2026

An M3U playlist is a list of stream links. Your provider gives you either a web address (URL) or a file. Streamo4K does not include any playlists — you need one from a provider you are entitled to use.

Add a playlist by URL

  1. Step 1: Open the app. On first launch the setup wizard opens automatically; otherwise go to Settings → Playlists → Add playlist.
  2. Step 2: Choose M3U playlist.
  3. Step 3: Enter a name you will recognise, then paste or type the playlist URL.
  4. Step 4: Select Next. The app checks the link and loads your channels.

Add a playlist from a file

  1. Step 1: Copy the .m3u or .m3u8 file to the device (or a USB drive).
  2. Step 2: In the add-playlist screen choose From file and pick the file.

Typing a long URL with a remote is slow. Add the playlist on your phone first, turn on cloud sync, and it appears on your TV automatically (Premium).

Movies and series in M3U playlists

Entries whose links contain /movie/ or /series/ are moved into the Movies & Series library automatically.

Guide data

If the playlist header includes a guide link (url-tvg or x-tvg-url), it is added for you. Otherwise set up the TV guide manually.
